Sweet Light by Jen Wylie is available on Kindle for just $2.99.

Description:

When fate conspires against you and gives you three loves to choose from, what do you do? What if you make the wrong choice?

Shara is a Healer, raised and trained from childhood until her unique gift manifests itself. When she gains the rank Journeyman she is hired to serve as the court healer for the barbaric kingdom of Glendor.

Untrained for war, she is thrust unmercifully into its bloody arms when the kingdom is invaded. Ordered by her king to the front lines to tend the wounded, she is forced to flee when their camp is attacked. Happening upon a wounded soldier in the forest, every mile back to the capital is a struggle, and breaking the Healer's code, she falls in love with her charge.

If Shara thought that to be the least of her troubles, the appearance of a fierce warrior captain who appoints himself her protector, teaches her differently. Trouble comes in threes at the appearance of a former love and fellow healer. Faced with decisions of the heart and the sudden manifestation of her gift, there is little room for anything else to go wrong. Or at least that's what Shara thought.

From the Reviewers:

"This book is terrific. At first, the reader may think that this novel is the stereotypical love drama that so many YA reads are turning to...however, the main character is a true heroine who is strong and selfless at times. She has a good head on her shoulders and quickly makes friends with the reader. The book starts out fast-paced, a quality the reader will appreciate and that will continue throughout the novel. The only slightly silly parts of the novel are the aforementioned "decisions of the heart", but these are not extreme or "twilighty" in any way. The secondary characters will become close to the reader as well, the reader him/herself will have a hard time picking "the one" for Shara. The events of the novel consist of intricate descriptions and intriguing dialogue. The reader will not be bored while perusing this novel. This novel is terrific for young adults/adults who enjoy a little fantasy with their fiction."

"Following what is in one's heart and allowing love to prevail brings this story to an ultimate "Sweet Light."

"This story begins with Shara, a gifted healer, fleeing a bloody battle and rescuing an injured soldier who has fallen beneath her horse's hooves in the midst. Caring for him and trying to find their way home, love begins to bloom between the couple in spite of the obstacles that lay between them. Follow their journey, as their relationship builds and sometimes wears very thin, with outside influences from mystical elements and their involvements with others from their past. Will their love for one another be strong enough to pull them through? Come read and see!

"This is Jen Wylie's debut novel and I found it to be a very enjoyable book. She has blended a sweet romance with some fantasy elements and combined them into a very good storyline. Her characters are very real in their actions and dialogue and they all blend together very smoothly til the very end, which in itself, left me wondering if there is going to be more to this story to tell. I guess I will just have to wait and see.

"I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a light romance with little fantasy additions.
